My son has this fiber optic light tree in his room and the other night I decided to photograph it. After taking a couple shots of the tree itself I started to play around with the camera a little and this is one of the shots I came up with. Using a slow shutter speed i just moved the camera slowly around the tree and this was the final effect. I love just playing with the camera and having fun.
Children LOVE seeing this effect with the camera -- I know my son has helped me numerous times with long exposure shots. I have a blog post about it somewhere.... sometime last year anyway.
